Couplings

The coupling is also called the coupling.
A mechanical part used to securely join the driving and driven shafts of different mechanisms to rotate together and to transmit motion and torque.
It is also sometimes used to connect shafts with other parts (such as gears, belts, etc.).
Usually composed by two halves, respectively with a bond or a tight fit and so on connection, fastening in the two shaft end, and then by some way to join the two halves together.
The coupling can compensate the offset (including axial offset, radial offset, angular offset or comprehensive offset) between the two shafts due to inaccurate manufacturing and installation, deformation or thermal expansion during operation, etc.
As well as ease the impact, vibration absorption

JAW FLEXIBLE COUPLING

According to different working conditions, the coupling shall have the following performance:
(1) Portability.
The shiftability of a coupling is the ability to compensate for the relative displacement of two rotating members.
The factors such as manufacturing and installation error, temperature change in operation and deformation under load among the connected members all require the movability. Small coupling often use for geared dc motor.
Displacement performance compensates for or alleviates additional loads between shafts, bearings, couplings and other components due to relative displacements between rotating components.
(2) Buffering.
For frequent load starting or work load changes, coupling in the need to have a buffer, damping elastic components, in order to protect the prime mover and work machine less or do not suffer damage.
(3) Safe and reliable, with sufficient strength and service life.
(4) Simple structure, easy installation and disassembly, maintenance.
